New automotive recruitment business to launch ? Automotive ...

A NEW way for motor dealers and manufacturers to recruit staff ? backed by a hugely experienced and well-known fleet and motor team ? is to be launched on June 11.

?

Job Co-op Automotive is designed to help employers find the highest quality staff at a fraction of the cost of traditional recruitment methods.

?

The company is lead by a team of four of the best known names in the fleet and wider motor industry:

  • Ken Trinder has a long history in the motor industry, most recently spending the last decade taking the epyx 1link product portfolio to market and helping it to become the motor industry standard e-commerce platform. Previously, he has also been managing director of two contract hire businesses.
  • Shaun Price has 20 years of experience within the motor industry in senior management roles for contract hire companies including Lex Vehicle Leasing and First National Vehicle Holdings. He formed Change Creation Ltd in 2006 as a vehicle for delivering his passion for training and development.
  • Derek Webb, with more than 40 years within the automotive industry, has worked as everything from an apprentice mechanic to sales director before founding Nicholas Recruitment and Nicholas Business Advisors in 2004.
  • Brenda Webb was a co-founder of Nicholas Recruitment, having previously spent 20 years in senior managerial roles within the travel sector and four years as operations manager for a global event management business.

?

Trinder, director of possibilities at Job Co-op Automotive, said: ?Staff turnover in the motor industry, especially among dealers and garages, is high at something like 30% every year, so recruitment costs are unavoidably a major expense.

?

?What we have done is look at this issue from the ground up, examining exactly what employers and employees need, and designed a new structure that we believe is unique.

?

?We are confident that we have arrived at a solution that will reduce average dealer recruitment costs by something like 50-70% yet deliver higher quality candidates. It is very exciting.?

?

Job Co-op Automotive will be based at offices in Castle Donington, Leicestershire, and recruitment of the launch team is already well underway with further appointments to be announced soon.
