FOND DU LAC - The Fond du Lac Humane Society is looking to expand with help from the community.
The shelter?s board of directors has launched a capital campaign to raise $600,000.
The proposed project would add 6,200 square feet to the facility and includes upgrades to the air exchange system.
The expansion has been discussed for the past two years, and shelter officials say with the limited space of the existing facility, now is the time to move forward with the plans.
?It is becoming a real challenge to continue providing the quality of services everyone expects from the shelter,? said Renee Webb, shelter manager in a release.
