Been using Windows 8 for a bit now and really like it. One thing I don't like is that for some reason my sound just goes completely silent.
It normally happens after the computer has been powered on for a for a few hours (6?) but no matter what I do other than restarting or uninstalling it in device manager gets it working again. It also stops working if It goes into sleep.
I'm currently using the latest Realtek drivers for it as it's AL889.
Just odd never had this kind of problem with Windows 7 and it's not exactly a rare piece of hardware, also couldn't find anything noteworthy in the Even Viewer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
